Johanna Dry Rosé 2023
R150.00
From a young age, Johanna worked in the vineyards of Muratie, but never without a song on her lips. Now happily retired, she continues to bring beauty to the farm – by arranging the flowers in the manor house and cellar. This lively and fruity yet dry rosé celebrates a tenacious woman, overflowing with personality, who embodies the honesty and passion of Muratie and its people.
Tasting Notes
VINEYARD
Produced from Pinot Noir grapes from vines planted at 280m above sea-level yielding 8 tonnes per hectare.
VINIFICATION
The grapes were sorted, crushed, destalked and transferred to the press. The juice was left on the skins for 2 hours allowing the delicate onion skin colour. Cold fermentation facilitates a slow and steady fermentation which results in the production of a fruity, yet dry rosé.
WINEMAKER’S COMMENTS
This wine starts with fresh berry aromatics on the nose, followed by pomegranate-ruby and raspberry flavour on the palate with a hint of strawberry sherbet. With its crisp mouthfeel and elegant palate, this wine is synonymous with warm and relaxing summer days.
